I’m married with two children and three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and have lived in Stevenage since 1972. I am a carer for my disabled husband.
I retired from Fujitsu Services in 2010 where I worked as a senior business consultant and was involved with their Impact on Society group. This was where I first became involved with Stevenage Community Trust.
I’m a local councillor for Pin Green in Stevenage and a trustee with Crossroads Care, chair of the Oval Community Centre and Chair of Douglas Drive Senior Citizens Centre.
I became a trustee of Stevenage Community Trust so that I could continue to help residents of Stevenage and surrounding villages.
In our first 34 years, we gave out more than £2 million in grants to help local people and organisations.
We could not have realised this without the generosity of our supporters and our aim is to build on the these rock solid foundations and be even more impactful for our community as we focus on the next 15 years towards our 50th anniversary.Robert Stewart - President
