Grants

Stevenage Community Trust awards grants to charitable organisations, community groups, schools and sports clubs as well as individuals and families across Stevenage and the surrounding villages of Almshoe Bury, Aston, Benington, Cromer, Datchworth, Graveley, Knebworth, Great Wymondley, Little Wymondley, Old Knebworth, Rabley Heath, Walkern, Watton-at-Stone, Weston, and Woolmer Green.

We are able to react quickly and efficiently to urgent cases of hardship to ensure help is available to those most in need. Applications for individuals and families in crisis are accepted throughout the year.

For groups and organisations, our grants committee meets quarterly to assess requests. Completed applications must be submitted on or before the 6th January 2025 for consideration at our next meeting.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

We cannot accept self-referrals. Grant applications MUST be submitted by a professional person from a recognised organisation who has an on-going professional relationship with the applicant e.g. health professional, teacher, social worker or support worker and who can verify the beneficiary’s situation.
Hardship grant applications MUST be submitted by a professional person e.g. health professional, teacher, social worker or support worker who can verify the beneficiary’s situation.
We can only discuss grant applications for hardship with the professional involved.
Incomplete applications or those lacking information may be declined. Please ensure the relevant supporting documents are included when submitting your application.

The grant enabled 17 children to enjoy a Christmas party with their non-resident parent in a friendly, supported environment.
