Running for Stevenage Community Trust
19th February 2020
We are thrilled to announce that Carole Sheldrick will be running this year’s Virgin London Marathon to raise funds for Stevenage Community Trust and Hertfordshire Community Foundation.
Carole, who lives locally and works for Stevenage company One Facility Ltd, says: “I’m so excited, and a little bit nervous to be able to run the Virgin London Marathon 2020 for two amazing charities. Stevenage Community Trust and Herts Community Foundation are both incredible local charities that work so hard to help the local communities. I have been part of this community all of my life, so it means a great deal to me to be doing this. To run the VLM is going to be an incredible challenge for me, both physically and mentally but hopefully with everyone’s support the outcome will be AMAZING!”
Carole’s employer, One Facility Ltd are long standing supporters of Stevenage Community Trust and have very generously offered to match-fund all donations made to support Carole’s fundraising efforts. With our smallest grant last year just £7.70 to pay for a local man’s travel to his hospital appointment, every pound we receive really can make a difference to the lives of local people.
